Long Weekend Part 3 - Day 2 (07.08.06)

Everybody woke up early today for the buffet breakfast. As we only had 4 adult breakfast vouchers and that would mean 1 adult had to stay back to look after Nadira who is chargaeble, everybody volunteered to stay behind. Finally, after much consideration since I had 3 bags of packing to do, I insisted I stay behind to look after Nadira & Nuqman while they go off for the buffet.

Hubby came back first and said the buffet breakfast was extremely disappointing. The one in Bintan was so much better. My parents came back and said the one in Mahkota Hotel was better. Hearing that, I felt better hehehe .. cos I didn't miss much. Since all was ready, we all headed down to the nearby Craft Centre for the normal tee shirts and dodol shopping. Menggila kau shopping ehehehe ..

Came back, did the last minute packing, took our baggage and got onto a cab to Mahkota Hotel, a mere 5 minutes away.

Mahkota Hotel reception was far more hospitable than the previous hotel. (Out of courtesy, I shall not name the first hotel we stayed in.) They allowed us to check in even though we were early but sadly, when we reached the apartment it was not even clean. Rather bad but this is not the first time they did this. My first was 7-8 yrs ago when I came here with my uncles, aunts, cousins and grandma.

Hubby was already starting his fever then, so he stayed inside the air-conditioned bedroom in a corner and slept with Nadira & Nuqman while Mom, Dad and I watched tv. After the housekeeping kids came to clean and replace the sheets, we all fell asleep. Come evening, since hubby still had fever, I brought all 3 down accompanied by my brother to the pool. All 3 had a splashing time at the baby pool but Nuqman was the most afraid to go down. He stayed by the side while the girls went to the deeper part of the baby pool.

After 2 hours in the pool, I brought all up to get ready to go out for dinner across the road at Mahkota Parade. Nadira started to get her tummyache and when we were at the supermarket, she started vomitting. Geesh .. some holiday this is with hubby and Nadira sick.

We had dinner @ the Chicken Rice shop and the whole meal costs us RM70. For eating chicken rice only, I think thats rather expensive. Hubby wasn't even with us since he preferred to stay in the hotel.

Come night time, all 8 of us, like sardines, packed into one bedroom to sleep in preparation for next day.
