Birthday To You!
It was my darling daddy's birthday on 17th August. This day, he turned 55 years old. Since I got home late as I went out with hubby to redeem my soon-to-expire Nike vouchers, we only celebrated today. My sis couldn't join us because her husband, herself and baby girl are down with chicken pox. Lemme sidetrack abit on that ..
Seriously, I was quite worried with her getting near her daughter the other time her daughter was hospitalised due to fits caused by high fever. She's pregnant and there are chances her unborn child could be infected with something if she's down with chicken pox. I could only pray her unborn baby's safe from any infections. It's unfortunate that no one could help take care of her one yr old then and the only ones her daughter could cling onto are her parents and me. I definitely can't take time off to help look after hers when I couldn't with mine. Besides, my kids have yet to be infected with chicken pox and the last time hubby had his, it was most fortunate that Nadira who went up close with him did not catch the virus. When I have only 3 days leave and 4 days of MCs left for the rest of the yr, I certainly do not wish to risk taking unpaid leave. But of course, kalau dah terjadi, nak buat camna kan?? She got 'em anyway but she's recovering now.
Back to the topic, I bought a cake on my way back on Thursday thinking we would have a little celebration but dad was already asleep then so I thought since my NS-going brother would be coming home the next day, it'll be better. Unfortunately, he came home really late (he got released late) and we only managed a short cake blowing today. Nuqman who couldn't keep his eyes of the cake in the fridge kept asking for the cake, "Bu, nak birthday to you!"
